Hail Queen of Heaven

This May, our Cathedral Choir will join forces two schools in our Salford Schools Singing Programme in two uplifting one-hour concerts of music in honour of Our Lady.

Each concert will feature beautiful choral music sung by our Cathedral Choir, from Franz Schubert’s classic setting of ‘Ave Maria’ to Amy Summers’ contemporary setting of ‘Ave virgo sanctissima’ by Amy Summers, as featured on our 2023 CD Rise Up and Wonder.

Our talented school children have been learning a range of songs which they will share during the concert, interspersed with well-known Marian hymns for all to sing, including Immaculate Mary, As I kneel before you, and Hail Queen of Heaven.
